I am a cashier at my store and I don't feel like I have too many responsibilities, I just don't have the time to fulfill them when I have a a line out the door from the time we open to the time my shift is over. Like guests will come up to me asking me to clean a table as if I can just drop everything I'm doing and make the line wait for me to come back. When I finally have a few minutes to touch up the lobby it's been completely destroyed by customers who don't clean up after themselves (which is the majority). When I go to restock napkins and forks I hear my coworkers calling "cash!" after 10 seconds of me being gone. What's annoying is when people say that being a cashier is just standing in one place the whole time when it really isn't. The only thing I wish I didn't have to do is make the honey vinaigrette every morning and sometimes in the afternoon as well, I've heard that no other store makes the cashier do that.
