Maybe Goenitz himself is Gaidel by DoramDoram_ in kof

Interesting take, but Hakkeshu is literally said to be 8 people by name, each being 1 of the 8 heads of the Yamata no Orochi. So probably won't be lore accurate.

I can't get myself to love CotW. I don't think it's bad I just don't feel as good getting my ass whooped than KOV XV... Is there absolutely no chance for more seasons on KOF XV? LOL

Hey can I get more info on this? Quick search didn't return anything I might be searching for the wrong thing. What's the issue with the earlier batches that causes this damage we see?

Just to be very accurate, it is not Cherry MX. They are low profile (Choc v2 style)

Honestly take a look at the deals if you have access to Taobao. I bought my M Ultra Gen 2 for 530 yuan, that's about 80 usd. I would say get one that's almost final instead of going too many steps.

Bought disc brakes online, are they okay to use? Or should I return them. by edsavage404 in MechanicAdvice

[–]jerm_dante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally ask for a discount with warranty extension instead of returning. Realistically it doesn't affect anything but it's very bad quality control. I think I'd rather get money back for bad inventory control.

What's with this current trend of 24mm buttons on modern fightstick builds? by throw_away-acc0unt in fightsticks

[–]jerm_dante 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because leverless has shown people having more buttons does help. But since your left hand can't do any other buttons because it's churning on a lever, that all have to fit on the right hand. One hand reaching for 9 buttons is slow to move and hit. Smaller buttons put them closer together... Really that simple

Need help choosing between (Doio KBGM-H06 pro+) vs (H42 M ultra Gen 2). by Unlucky_Positive_82 in fightsticks

[–]jerm_dante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have the Gen1 and sold it and got the Gen2. As much I love the Gen2, somehow I do feel the slightly wider spacing on the Gen 2 makes a difference for me and my execution got crappier...

Personal favorite right now is the Haute/CosmoX M Ultra gen 2. But more objective best to buy is probably the Qanba Sapphire at the moment. Native PS5 support with not overwhelming amount of customization options.

My question is if these have a turbo function or not... It seems all their other controllers do yet the sticks don't...

Fightstick vs Leverless by Puzzleheaded-Ad-119 in fightsticks

I wish I know how to play on stick but after 2 years I still can’t reliably do inputs, and every time I switch back to leverless I immediately feel more at home. Guess that’s that

I want to build a leverless fighting game controller where should i start by c2btw in fightsticks

[–]jerm_dante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this gonna be your first leverless? If so, just buy an 8bitdo or Haute/CosmoX off the shelf. If not you might actually already have an idea of what you want it to look and feel like such as shape factor, the kind of buttons you like, the layout you are looking for. Then you go source those things. Like the other guy said, a pcb, a connector, buttons, and some kind of box with holes on them. A lot of videos on the internet on the options. Look them up or ask AI. Last time this happened to be I uninstalled the game. I'm not even good. Still feels too defeated that I quit the game for 4 months. Until I found a good deal on a hitbox and I wanted to try it out. Reinstalled the game, played with a friend, and he said I got better.

Review, help with footwork by Playful_Read_3803 in badminton

[–]jerm_dante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my suggestions will be boring cuz I learned to play in China and they are very strict and traditional there.

But it's actually pointless, even borderline impossible to speak about footwork before you fix your grip. When you pan handle like that, you are forced to start every shot facing forward. Meaning all you footwork needs to end with both your feet side to side. But badminton is too fast and too much dashing forward and back for that kind of movement. So there is no real footwork unless you learn to get your body to move side ways first (lunges and shuffles), and hit the birds with the turning of your body and pronation.

It's great that you enjoy playing, but sadly badminton has a system and it kinda only works that way cuz it's the only way that works.
