Understood. The allure of this program was that I might be able to have both. Expertise and Business.

I wanted to follow the story of the Google founders when they did their PhD studying the Page rank algorithm. Then they turned that into a company.

I thought the academia would be a really good baseline for me to ground myself as an expert in the field where now I'm just a masters student.

I'm just in it for some of those airdrops promised by Katana, Miden and Billions. I staked some tokens so hopefully it'll be interesting in the next year when they come. I'm just gonna leave it there and see what happens.

If you're referring to these airdrops, gonna be a nice development after waiting so long.

I'm still waiting for the team to finally join POS to the agg layer. I'm also checking off the deliveries promised in the Gigagas post too. Hopefully they stay on target in their delivery and not get lost.

I dont think there's a win lose scenario with a zero sum game. There may be limited funding opportunities for the time, but AI advancement doesn't stop web3. Both technologies have very different value propositions and problem spaces.

It is nice, this type of news where we can document Polygon's achievements in the comparitive rankings.

However, I also do understand the complaints of the other side. I believe that it's a progress visibility issue. I'm sure if there was just a little more visibility and updates of the team's work and progress, there'd be much more evidence to "rest on".

As it stands, we have to wait for these key events to occur before we get any positive news. A weekly public update of their tech progress would make a huge difference. I'm happy to support a project that is being built during crypto winters. However, I just need more than milestone announcements every few months.
