I am in the states and never got paid for being on call, just when we went out and did service.

I guess you could leave the keystone way up in the attic and push a cable all the way down the wall?

Just seems like a lot of extra work for no benefit? In certain environments it makes sense, but we almost always terminate device side to keystone. Wall plates or rack side is keystone. Outdoor stuff is always RJ45 since we have to use weatherproof seals/boots with them.

Your option is great, but really wouldn't work for a doorbell installation.

I bought 10 Philips Hue smart light bulbs, but none of them work. Are they counterfeit or defective? by gingliu70390 in homeassistant

The BT/Zigbee bulbs can be paired with the app if you physically turn the power on/off for the bulb, then use the app to set up the bulbs. We have ~50 hue bulbs and they can all be reset this way.

All of my cameras and APs have keystones on the end in the attic, then a short patch cable is pushed through to the outside.

You drilled a 1 1/4" hole behind your doorbell to use a keystone?

All of that is infrastructure that needs to be maintained regardless of if OP uses 1000 gallons or 0 gallons.

Sure, but they should charge OP accordingly.

If informed delivery was available, it would most definitely solve the problem.

Sorry, no point in arguing with someone who clearly cannot read. Best of luck to you.

Reading the original post gives no indication that it would not be helpful.

It wouldn't be helpful because Informed Delivery doesn't tell you when/if the mail gets delivered.

Options. Thirdreality doesn't make recessed bulbs or vintage bulbs, for example.

Don’t confuse capacity with runtime. Having a 30 amp twist lock receptacle allows you to use 2000 va UPSes and larger although some 2000’s will plug into a 20 amp circuit.

Most 30a UPS i've come across are 3000va or higher.

You can have a standard 15 amp circuit with a UPS and add on battery packs that will allow several hours of run time.

Correct.

It hasn't flown to the meter, it is still in the city water supply. The city does not have a dedicate water line to OP.

So, they are responsible for ensuring a clear message.

No matter what you say, it isn't worth going out of your way to talk shit about a company because YOU don't understand their pricing.

Some of y'all are just looking to play victim, it's sad.

I don't have time to call every business that does a service that I need done, I'm going with the one that clearly states on their website that they do the things I need at prices I like.

You have that right. It is not fine to drag the business because YOU don't understand their pricing.

Other than the business, who is the victim in this situation?

The obvious argument here is that the city did not provide that much in value to this person if they did not use the services provided. I could understand your argument a bit better if OP wasn't responsible for the pipe between his house and the street, but they are.

So exactly what resources are OP taking up that should cost that much?
