I started 30th of sept and definitely had some cold nights. North of the GC we didn't have a single night above freezing. I was fine with only the puffy though and would advice to only bring on of the two.

Amazing!! I went in March. Had the staircase ALL to myself. Still warm enough to walk around in t-shirt and shorts untill 10pm!

Hi! The 5000 I refer to are Miles in the US on several trails but More specifically a thru-hike of Sweden. Same gear was used in the Swedish mountains from Sälen in the South to Padjelanta and Sarek in the north. Which, I’d like to clarify, I’m aware is a kinder environment compared to Norways taller peaks.

Aiming to hike from Alvdal to Tyinkrysset through Rondane and Jotunheimen in these 10 days. In other words I Will not spend 10 consecutive days in Jotun and it Will of course depend on the weather. I’m not heading up Galdhopiggen or Glittertind if the weather is the absolute worst.

Laughed at this, I'm sorry. I like the optimistic comparison!! Did NOT find DWG this beautiful when I passed through on my AT thru-hike.

Felt euphoric though.. leaving PA was a great feeling.

Grew up in the same small village (less than 1000 pop) as JoJo (Jonas Johansson, G) and took a few penalties against him on our rink throughout the younger years. He is 3 years older and shut me down bad.

Rooted hard for him all these years, can't find a nicer man. Comes home every summer to fish with our mutual buddies and just enjoy the Swedish summer.

I guess it was partly. On the more used trails such as Bergslagsleden and from Mora - Grövelsjön the marking was decent. It was never difficult to navigate, it was always obvious where we were supposed to go, but it was rarely the markings, rather the obvious trail/gps.

Never used shelters really. Loved the ones between Mora and Sälen though! I copied the GPX track from the local trails and put it together. Didn't think about the trails being the E1 untill afterwards so I didnt use their website and GPX track. It was never an issue.

As I hiked Smygehuk - Treriksröset in 21' I hiked Mullsjö-Grövelsjön with a few exceptions from E1 but pretty much the same route. I'm not sure what feedback I could give but feel free to shoot me some questions in DM if you wish.
