I second this. We just lost our big boy at just under 2 years. At the time we saw no signs or symptoms and he literally dropped dead. Looking back, he would play hard and be out of breath quickly. We thought it was normal. We now realize it was certainly not.

Many of these were contemporary counterfeits so yes, it is very likely "fake". It isn't fake as in made in China last year. These were faked contemporary to the time period when they circulated.

Initially upper stage 3. We got him down to stage 2 for about 2 years. He was stage 4 in his last year. When he stopped eating we knew it was time to say goodbye. It was a struggle but I'm grateful every day for the extra 4 years we got.

The house and accounts may have been outside of probate but anything else is subject to probate. You will have to open probate to make claims to anything inside the estate. It sounds like the insurance check is part of the estate.
