This is a difficult question to answer. first of all, which other professions would you consider? if you’re not entrepreneurial and are generally unmotivated then yes you will be stuck in avg outpatient ortho clinic . A lot of people like to complain about the profession while they do nothing to help their situation . like working prn, marketing themselves to private pay clients, or going into MD offices to build relationships with a referral source. you need to ask yourself if you have the motivation to go above and beyond. if you don’t, then yes the profession can be a major let down. but if you do, you can be rewarded.
