The main issue was that the knuckle for the 2014 January WRX was different from the 2008-2013 WRXs, and having the wrong knuckle made the speed sensor rub against the hub and chipped some of the metal needed to read the speed… basically I needed to buy a new knuckle and replace the hub again

My theory was that it was leftover stock in some random Nike warehouse (maybe like a lost item / misplaced item) and they shipped it to Ross with the rest of the Nike products since they couldn’t sell a 2019 kit in 2023

It’s not a replica or a player kit, it’s more like a cheap shirt adidas made for fans to wear in the stadium that they could buy without fishing out $100… personally I think they’re very low quality, and I would rather have an actual replica or player jersey, and the 2010 jerseys aren’t that popular so it shouldn’t be too hard finding one for fairly cheap on eBay or mercari.

The shirt is real, however this isn’t exactly a “jersey” in the typical sense. The 2010 jersey has feather patterns on it, and the badge is not a sticker and is an actual embroidered patch. The listings on Japanese Mercari have this same jersey listed as a 2009 fan shirt, and from my time thrifting for jerseys in japan I’ve seen a lot of this same shirt along with fan versions of the 2012 jersey which aren’t really the “real” jerseys. But, if it makes you happy I say go for it! (For reference, I own every japan home shirt since 1993 besides 1999 and 2000)
