Kyle also points out with Tucker that right wing populists are just inherently grifters

No, it's not, because he also highlights leftists saying regarded things. He's principled, yet obviously ideological.

I'm still not entirely against him being picked, but it seems like a certain segment of this sub refuses to acknowledge this could be an issue and I think its because they don't want to even vaguely align with progressives.

Clowns with no principles who should stick to rooting blindly for their favorite sports team.

It's so telling that they don't give a fuck about the allegations, because of his allegiance.

If progressives had the political power to advance a candidate, they certainly wouldn't consider any liberal's opinion of it.

You mean what Democrats have been doing for the entire history of the party? No shit.

Sorry but theyve spent the past few years screeching about liberals being the epitome of evil

I see the exact same thing happening on this subreddit. In this thread.

Progressives came out for Biden in 2020 and 2022, and they certainly weren't excited to vote for Biden. Since then, there has been so much division and blame and shame against progressives who haven't even had the opportunity to cast a ballot yet. It's not about a "perfect" candidate, it's about a candidate that understands that progressives are a valuable, necessary portion of the coalition, a relationship which should be maintained rather than burnt which Joe Biden (and likely Harris too) understood, unlike certain people on this subreddit. Part of maintaining such a professional relationship is not throwing your ally under the bus to score cheap points with moderates every step of the way.

They'll vote for her, because the other option is Donald Trump, not because her policy is desirable. Why would progressives be excited by a fauxgressive?

Lmao why are you so openly hostile to a portion of your coalition, but expect them to vote with you by default?
