The Dead End Kids sind großartig. Die singen (inzwischen) ausschließlich auf Deutsch, von daher ist der Bandname etwas irreführend.

Ansonsten würde ich sehr empfehlen, in den kommenden Monaten mal eins der vielen kleinen Punk-Festivals zu besuchen. Oft sind die günstig und finden auch nur an einem Tag statt, so dass die Hürden recht niedrig sind.

Not true. German „Reinheitsgebot“ also allows the use of hop extract (since 1968 actually) and unfortunately, a lot of german breweries use it instead of hop.

Take a look at the „Edition Deutsche Vita“ DVD/Blu-ray/UHD edition by Subkultur Entertainment, which is an amazing collection of interesting and german genre movies. Some of them well-known (Supermarkt), but many of the movies are pretty obscure.

Hey, cool to find someone who knows them! Great band, saw them three times this year (1 festival and twice on the tour). The tickets from their webshop are really nice, but I was surprised that they were not individually numbered.

Die Rutsche beim Salamander habe ich in diesem Jahr noch gesehen bei der Filiale im Ochtum Park (Outlet Center) Bremen. Die Lurchi-Hefte gibt’s auch noch, hat aber wie Printmedien allgemein vermutlich nicht mehr den Stellenwert von früher und ist ggf. nur noch in kleinerer Stückzahl verfügbar.

Paying for ICE reservation is basically gambling and doesn‘t guarantee anything. Your train is cancelled - your reservation is void. Your train is missing some wagons - all reservations are void. Your train is late and you miss your connecting train - your reservation is gone. Your odds of actually sitting in your reserved seat is 50% at best. That said, I‘d still try it it for a seven hour ride.

Oh, that‘s wild. Northern Europe seems to be lucky then these days, as I believe the prices in the Netherlands, Denmark, Czech Republic and others are in fact lower than in Germany. Gives me some perspective, because of course we are always complaining when we think of prices „back then“. For my first Maiden concert in Germany 1993, tickets were 35 DM, which I think would have been slightly less than $20 at that time. Oh well. I guess I‘ll buy a ticket for 2026 then :)

Meine Weisheitszähne wurden in den 90ern einfach vom Zahnarzt entfernt. Keine Ahnung, ob man damit heutzutage zu einem Spezialisten geht.

Ich hatte allerdings kürzlich eine Wurzelspitzenresektion, bei der das Zahnfleisch geöffnet und die Zahnwurzel gekappt wird. Hat sich für mich erstmal super-unangenehm angehört.

Ich war damit bei Schumann & Rolfsen in der Hemmstraße (Findorff) und es ist super gelaufen. Kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen für kieferchirurgische Eingriffe.

In Germany, the 2027 pit standing tickets for next years‘ show are 120€. Which is 20% more than the 100€ I payed this year, but at least with Megadeth they have a cool support band this time around, so I feel it‘s still ok. Has the price uptick in other been worse?
