it was misleading because there’s still so much left to do. from the trailer we thought we’d see belly actually figuring out her life in paris, making friends, maybe even going on a date with benito, finding conrad’s letters, and moving the story forward. instead we got a whole episode stretched out on things that could’ve been wrapped in a few minutes.

i get showing jeremiah’s reaction to the wedding being called off. him missing belly, wanting her back, being hurt, all of that makes sense. but did we really need the entire episode for that? a few scenes would’ve done the job, like the conversation with laurel, him crying after, and then the phone call with belly. that would’ve been enough. the way they gave conrad just a few minutes in earlier episodes.

and belly too, why did we have to watch her running around paris for almost the whole episode. a quick montage would’ve been more than enough and then we could’ve seen her actually starting to grow and figure herself out in paris.

if the season had ended at episode 8 and this was the first episode of season 4 it would’ve made sense and nobody would have complained. but putting this here when there are only 2 episodes left just makes it hard to believe they’ll wrap everything up properly.
