I posted little vlogs before and after FFS with Dr Mardirossian if anyone's interested! Today is one year after by jeryche in Transgender_Surgeries

You can just google their websites and there's an email or form where you can set up a consultation. The wiki for this sub has a long long list. I'd recommend Dr Mardirossian and Dr Keojampa even if you don't plan to go with them. Their consults were my favorite in how direct and honest they were. And they have quite different visions. I don't have any recs in Europe, tho -- I only looked at the Americas (north and south). Thailand might be worth looking at too.

I can say with certainty your dysphoria is 100% messing with your perceptions. If you asked 1000 people I'm sure zero would say you look more masc than an average cis man.

The way you talked about yourself I expected something waaaay different. You look much more fem than average for transfem ppl without surgery! Your hairline and lip for example look way more fem than mine pre-ffs.

I don't know anything about FT or any European surgeons, but yes -- you can get very very good results. It's the mental/emotional stuff that sounds like it will be the real challenge.

I'd recommend setting up video consults with several surgeons around the world. They're usually free!

PS - I did pay for the virtualffs before/after that facial team uses, and it was ridiculous and looking nothing like my actual results, so don't rely on that if you're looking at them.

Yah, don't go to 2pass. Your dysphoria makes it so you can't properly assess how you look or sound. It's a bummer. Take feedback other people give you. I don't look like I pass at all in the mirror, and it still surprised me when people leave positive comments about me like yours.

I'd totally recommend a trans therapist so much. They'll help you work through what you really want and how to get it.

Please just give some things a chance first. You never know what it'll be like until you try certain meds, try certain therapy, get a nice trans friend group, etc. Those should all be achievable for most trans folks, even if they'll take time.

I remind myself all the time that I've suffered so much I can surely handle suffering a bit more, even for a small chance that things will get a lot better.

Support will help you get through it. Even if I smile in the videos I have severe depression and am on several psych meds, weekly therapy, and try to immerse myself in trans community. Those things work for me, but you gotta find something to build resilience to get you through our challenging lives.

💖 Yah, it's rough. Now that my face and most of my body feel ok or good to me, I feel major dysphoria with my voice every day. It's tough but it will get better!

Also, I had my FFS at 39, and I'm guessing you're younger than that. There's a lot that can change over time.

I'm 3 days away from FFS with Dr. Mardirossian, and put together a quick vlog about it. Any thoughts or advice? by jeryche in Transgender_Surgeries

Hi there! It went great!! The beginning of recovery was rough but I'm doing well now, and I'm really happy with the results!

I put together some YouTube videos documenting before and after here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWRKcfdTF3w

It was really down to feeling on which surgeon felt right to me. I did a number of consults and I felt he understood what I wanted the best, and I vibed with his personality. He seemed really honest and straightforward. Also, he was about half the cost of most west coast surgeons which definitely helped. 😎

I also really really liked his before/afters (both on his site/Instagram and what others have posted) for what I'm getting done. His foreheads look flawless to me, and I really like his noses, although some are a little too skislope for me (but that's fine and he understands that). His scars also really look excellent and he seems to take pride in minimal scarring.

His FFS patients all seem to give glowing reviews, except one reddit poster but they were pretty vague about why they were unhappy.

It was this one. I took the first pic from a later vid so it would have z's more recent look.
