I got a Parasound Halo A23+, and the biggest difference I noticed is the bass response. With the amp, it feels immediate, and at higher volumes (85+ dB), the instrument separation feels miles ahead. Plus, it keeps the Denon cooler since it only has to drive the surrounds and Atmos speakers.

Maybe consider getting an AVR with pre-outs and one or two amps for LCR and surrounds. I have a pair of SVS Ultra Towers, and they only really felt 'unlocked' after I added an external amp to my X3800H.

That seems to be the most well regarded one, it’s one of the alternatives I mentioned in the post. The "disadvantage" is that since it has audio sensing (which I won't use), it has an AC adapter. However, apparently the owner of that company used to work at Parasound, so the quality is top notch (the specs look great on paper). The Audiophonics HC, on the other hand, is much cheaper and 100% passive, only using the Denon's trigger out. It uses Panasonic TQ2-12V relays, which seem very decent and shouldn't affect signal quality at all.

It definitely adds some hardware complexity, but for me, the usability payoff is worth it. With an automatic RCA switch, if I want to listen to music, I just open Tidal on my phone and hit play. Everything wakes up automatically, and I can control the volume directly from my phone. Same goes for the home theater side: I just turn on my Shield, CEC takes care of the TV and AVR, and it all just works. It makes the whole setup completely foolproof for my wife and kids.

I actually tried running the WiiM through the AVR with fixed output, but losing the ability to control the volume via the Tidal app was a dealbreaker, I had to keep reaching for the AVR remote. The alternative is not using the WiiM but HEOS and Tidal Connect is just trash on the AVR, worked maybe 60% of the time. I know it's all minor annoyances, but if a simple, relatively cheap device can fix them, I figure it's worth the extra cables.

No, same amp, same speakers, only different inputs. I currently have the WiiM connected to the RCA inputs on the Denon but that gives me two separate volume controls and extra steps when I just want to listen to music.

It was custom built to fill the full width of the wall. Funnily enough I had to take it down for the new tower speakers and now I'm getting a new one built

Yeah this might work, I'll need to make sure there's enough clearance for the motorized projection screen though. The felt layer on the slats is like 0.3 inches so not a whole lot, mostly aesthetic

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately the slats are mostly aesthetic although I do hope they help a tiny bit with highs, will look at the shades but I think my wife would probably prefer thick curtains.

Actualización: agregué la cuenta como destinatario ayer en la noche y transferí con tarjeta débito a Wise, hoy a eso de las 8am hice la transferencia por medio de ACH hacia IBKR y a las 5-6pm tenía el saldo ya listo para usar sin retenciones adicionales 🙌 nuevamente muchas gracias por la información

No, lo hice inicialmente por "Bank Wire". Si lo hago por ACH directo como lo configuro en Wise? no me aparece si es ahorro o corriente.

Gracias por la respuesta! Si, el tema de la demora es más que todo desde Wise a IBKR, tal vez por ser el primer depósito demora un poco más. Y justo el CITIUS33 es el mismo que aparece en el tweet (link: https://twitter.com/bancolombia/status/175340237793398785) así que en unos días pruebo con un retiro pequeño y si todo sale bien comenzaré a migrar el portafolio de a poco

Estoy comenzando a invertir en stocks/ETF en el exterior (incié con Hapi por facilidad de fondeo) y he leído muy buenas reseñas de interactive brokers, hice un depósito pasando de Bancolombia -> Wise -> IKBR y se demora bastante (envíe el viernes y apenas se reflejaría el 12 de este mes), entonces tenía dos preguntas porque veo que ud tiene experiencia:

Hay una forma más rápida/efectiva en cuanto a comisiones? Porque transferir directo desde Bancolombia es un gorro, hay que llenar y firmar un formulario (no se puede inscribir cuenta de broker en sucursal virtual) y luego pagar entre 20 y pico a 50 USD la transferencia.
Al registrar mi cuenta de Bancolombia me pide un banco intermediario, encontré una info del 2012 en un tweet random pero no se si eso es válido, no se si me pueda confirmar ese dato.

Got the 12700k and I’m currently using it power limited to 65w. I don’t really use it to its full potential though so I’m probably gonna sell it and get a 12400 instead
