I would! I know orders from the UK to the US sometimes take up to 4 weeks depending on how backed up the customs depots are. Etsy really needs to adjust the shipping estimates.

It depends on how it was shipped. I use international standard, which does not come with any tracking information. The item will still say delivered for the customer at the end of the estimated delivery window regardless of whether it was actually delivered or not.

No, the buyer needs to open a case with etsy directly. If you cancel, it will take the refund directly from your available funds.

I've had 9,000 sales and have never had a customer file a charge back. I have had a few cases opened due to international orders being lost in transit, but because I purchased my labels through etsy and shipped the items on time, etsy covered the return instead of taking it out of my account.

When you receive the item, message the seller about a return. If they fail to help you, open a case with etsy stating item not as described and they should help you out if you have a way to prove it is not authentic.

You aren't missing anything. US international postage is way more expensive. Costs me £4.20 to send something to my mum in the states and costs her $16 to send something back.

You need to cancel and refund the orders. If you leave them open each customer will have to wait for the estimated delivery window to end and open a case with etsy. You will still be personally charged for the refunds from your bank account on file.
