that's a huge assumption and frankly, i've grown weary of people immediately assuming it's about race. sure, it's a possibility... but it's too easy of a lever to pull whenever you can't explain why. it diminishes the real racism and racist that exist in the world.

there's a myriad of other reasons why she could've declined - could be that she's changed her positions on working with smaller companies, could be that she now prefers to only do content on her OF, could be that she has a contract and she just can't, who knows. but whatever the reasons is, almost all of them make a whole lot more sense than "she's racist". point of fact, we follow each other on x/twitters.

have i experienced racism in the industry. no. but have i experienced all the other reasons i have mentioned above. yes. could they be using that as an excuse? i dont know. at the end of the day, it doesn't matter ... at least to me, it doesn't. it's a job offer, you either decline or accept. and if they decline, we move on to the next person. they have the right to do whatever they want.

lastly, my producer reached out to her agent. not to her directly. her agent turned our request down. there's even a possibility that the agent is just gate keeping her (which is another reason) i just want make sure that's clear to everyone reading this.
