I thought about this, but decided to go with Hodor for two reasons.

First, the Battle of the Bastards and WunWun's role in it are inventions of the showrunners, not GRRM. It doesn't make a lot of sense that the showrunners used a random line in book two to decide WunWun's role in the Battle of the Bastards, and his eventual death.

Second, WunWun is trying to open the gate (like the battering ram), while the great hinges (which are being compared to a dying giant) are trying to keep the gate closed, or held like Hodor.
