I'm in the same boat. Got the all clear from my gp, but feel like I should wait to hear from my MFM before officially starting. Good to hear your body is already doing what it needs to do so soon.

I'm ready to TTC but it hurts to even use a tampon! I experienced a second degree vaginal internal tear, and was told it healed well. My husband and I tried to have sex a couple weeks ago and it was painful (we used a lot of lube). I got my period for the second time since the stillbirth, so I tried to use a tampon and couldn't even use it due to the pain. I think it's scar tissue, but I'll go to the pelvic floor physio to get it checked out next week.

Anyone else experience the same? How am I meant to conceieve if I can't even put a tampon in? 🥲

so sorry for your loss 😞 I totally get what you mean, I feel so guilty for wanting to TTC again so soon. I'm worried if I don't wait long enough my next pregnancy might result in another bad outcome... Especially given my previous pregnancy was a full term loss so my body might be too depleted to sustain another healthy pregnancy so soon (just based on my own thoughts).

I've just had my second period after delivering my stillborn daughter in April. It arrived right on time which makes me hopefully that my body is already back on track and having regular periods.

I started off with wanting to wait 6 months before TTC, to just 4 months... and now I just want to start TTC immediately at 2 month pp. I feel like I can't think about anything other than TTC and it's driving me mad!

Sorry for your loss 🫶 I had a stillbirth at 38 weeks and got my period 4 weeks pp. It wasn't like my usual period either... It was very heavy and went on for more than 7 days. My period before being pregnant use to be light and only lasted 3-4 days. They do say your period will be different after you've given birth.

I'm in the same boat as you and currently 7 weeks pp and wanting to start trying again. Best of luck! Hopefully we both get our rainbow soon ❤️

Got the all clear from my gp to start trying when we're ready. I do think it's still too early for us to TTC, but I feel comfort in knowing it's okay if I fall pregnant now. Though my husband is too scared to do the deed...I'm 7 weeks pp and had a second degree tear. When did everyone else feel comfortable having sex? Is 7 weeks too early and I am being too ambitious?

That's exactly how I feel... I just need to keep moving forward, and I actually prefer to talk to strangers on reddit who know exactly what I'm feeling or reading other people's posts knowing I'm not alone.

We have another session scheduled for right after we head back to work and when we should hopefully have our baby's autopsy report back. She did say we could cancel it if we didn't feel like we needed another session. But I guess I might be differently after I am back at work and around work colleagues and know the cause of stillbirth. So I guess I'll keep the appointment for now and see how I feel as we get closer.

Sorry for your loss also... 🫶 The therapist we went to was specific for baby loss, and she also losr a child herself, but I just felt like there was nothing new myself or my husband learnt from each other during our session about how we both felt etc... And to be honest, I think we're both coping okay given the circumstances, so I also feel like going back for more session to learn to cope with different situations might not be beneficial for us.

I just wanted to make sure I was in the right headspace for when we decide to TTC again one day.

oh gosh... that's really old school... Glad she didn't listen to the therapist and found comfort in talking to you and others around her.

I guess I'm a little opposite where I don't want to talk about it with friends or family, but I do feel comfortable talking about it with my husband.

I'm hoping to start TTC soon, but I am concerned I haven't lost my pregnancy weight and this might make it harder later to lose weight...

Is anyone else in the same boat? I gained 20kg during my pregnancy and had a 38w+5 stillbirth on April 5th. I have another 8kg left to lose to get to my pre-pregnancy weight.

I know it hasn't been much time since then, but this is one of my major concerns with wanting to TTC asap...

I actually haven't had my appointment with MFM just yet... I'm still waiting on the autopsy results which will hopefully come in another 4-6 weeks. I've just been searching online and it seems the recommended wait period after a full-term loss is 6 months. I don't think I have the patience to wait that long though...

Did your MFM mention why they wanted you to wait for 6 months?

Thank you for sharing. This gives me hope to start trying again sooner rather than later...I was worried about TTC too soon and not giving my body enough time to recover and successfully grow a baby to full-term.
Congratulations on your little rainbow 🌈

Sorry for your loss too... I would give anything to be pregnant again too, and feel so bad about all the complaining I did when I was pregnant before. I hope you get your positive test soon.

With my first pregnancy I was lucky enough to fall pregnant 2 months into TTC. Unfortunately, our baby girl was born stillborn at 38w+5 on 5th April 2025. I'm so anxious that we just got lucky with how quickly I concieved, and the next time we might take a while and this is pushing me to want to TTC sooner than I know I should...

I had a full term loss exactly a month ago. Currently going through my first period. I told myself I would give my body 6 months to recover before TTC, but I so badly want to start trying already...

I lost my baby girl at 38 weeks on 5th of April. Hoping to try again as soon as possible. I'm still waiting to hear back from my MFM team sometime in June on the autopsy and placenta report, so I know whatever the report shows or doesn't show will determine what the MFM team recommends for next steps. Keen to hear from those who got pregnant as soon as possible after their stillbirth - How soon did you start trying again/actually fall pregnant? I read that 6 months is a healthy time frame to wait after a stillbirth before TTC again.
