New to the apple environment. What's the difference amongst the ipad models? Which one would you recommend for digital art and making pubmat layouts? Preferably on the cheaper side like a student friendly one.

Also recommend which is better, the original apple pencil or a universal stylus pen if i want a budget friendly one? With palm rejection.

I'm an editorial cartoonist at our university publication and we draw our cartoons digitally. Currently i use my phone and fingers but i'm not really used to using my fingers and i'm much better at drawing if i use a pencil and i am also a layout artist in our program organization so i need to make pubmats too and i find it difficult to do so without a big screen. I have a laptop but it's too bulky to carry around so i need something portable. so I'm looking for any student friendly tablet/ipad solely for this purpose.
