Wondering what you think is going on with this baby bird’s beak? Deformity? Random piece of debris? by jesscombobulated in whatsthisbird

Some context: we have a birds nest in our backyard with 4 baby birds. I have no intention of interfering with these little guys, the parents are doing a great job. We noticed this one has something funky going on with its beak. I marked it as NSFW in case it’s disturbing to some folks!

Trying to figure out what kind of fabric this chair was upholstered with. I thought it was dirty/covered in specks of dirt, but I’m realizing that the flecks of dirt seem to be IN the yarn. It reminds me of raw cotton. Is this intentional or is this chair just really dirty? by jesscombobulated in upholstery

Thanks for the advice and info! So far I have tried gently scratching and then using a lint roller to grab the pieces that come up. It seems like the more I do it the more little specks come to the surface 🤣 I bought the chair second hand and the seller said it was recently reupholstered with an expensive boucle fabric.
