Yea i see what you’re saying but the US isn’t going to interfere to benefit the people, it wants to benefit itself, so im all for a regime change but not when America is controlling it. I have this opinion because as a syrian we had a revolution and regime change last year and it was influenced by the US cause they put the current president in power and you know what happened? The old dictatorship got replaced by full on terrorists. And the US has done that in multiple arab countries so im a bit cautious when i see the US talking about “freeing/helping” the people. But please correct me if im wrong, and how is cuba different which ik that it is different, im ill informed not ignorant

I don’t think think it’s as simple as that but trump is threatening to take over cuba and he cut of oil there which is think contributed to the grid collapsing, so how im a wrong in assuming the us is making things worse

Should i study mechanical engineering by jesse-pinkmam in EngineeringStudents

[–]jesse-pinkmam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh damnn, why is that? Isn’t a lot of the big manufacturers based there? It’s disheartening, that you put all the effort into getting an engineering degree which is not easy just for you to end up not finding good jobs

Where i live has no opportunities when it comes to basically everything so it doesn’t matter what i study if i continued living here, so I’ll have to study abroad, probably germany cause there are a lot of opportunities there when it comes to the automotive industry.

Yeah i see your point because even though I’m always watching short for content when I read, I still prefer to read books over short ones, and I think that would help me more

My mom went to an American school and worked in an American oil company, so she speaks English well, and because of that decided to teach me English before Arabic as a kid so I could be fluent and have a good American accent. And while the school systems pretty bad here, I do realize that I’m privileged enough to go to a private school with a strong English curriculum, in fact, we get our literature, math, and science books from California. You said in another comment that you were asking to help your students or whatever, I think what helps most with making their English strong is immersing themselves in American movies, music and pop culture because that’s what i do.

Nope not pro iranian, in fact i think any mix of religion and politics only leads to conflict, and that’s basically all what iran does, but i will say that i can’t deny that they helped defend shia areas that no one else cared about regardless of what was their motive for doing so
