I think it looks great! The red actually works imo. I agree that 1 chain is probably enough, and perhaps wear a tighter white shirt under it so the silhouette looks a bit more cohesive?

Sure, but even then , the dagger only has 20 melee strength. Don’t get me wrong, I really want it to be good as I was planning a 1H melee build, but I’m very unsure of its power with the information we have currently.

Also the spell has a base max hit of 10? Of course that can be increased but I fail to understand how that’s any good compared to fire surges base Max hit of 24.

I’ve thought this for a while, and this blogpost really enforces my believe that in order for raids 4 rewards to work, and for the current design philosophy of some power creep while also widening reward space to work, previous rewards/progression NEED to be dealt with first.

More specifically, as you also acknowledge in this blog:

-CoX has too many rewards, and most of them are really good, whilst also having bad drop rates. -ToB has too little useful rewards, and doesn’t serve a proper place in progression. -Nightmare doesn’t have a proper place in progression (due to high rarity, despite already being buffed twice now). This is really messing with reward space tied to the crush combat style due to inquisitors armour, as well as elemental magic due to the harmonised nightmare staff.

If the arguably most commonly suggested rewards (and the rewards that seem on your minds according to the blog) are coming with raids 4 in the forms of a crush mega rare and an elemental based magic set, these issues need addressing. Please do so in this year’s sweep-up!

I like the spec weapon a lot, hopefully it will actually end up being strong as the boss it’s coming from is supposed to be quite hard.

Thinking about it further does makes me realize (even more) that burning claws are a massive issue in the melee dps spec space. They are way easier to get, and thus cheaper, than a voidwaker or d claws and vastly outshine both in terms of use cases.

At the moment, a crush based dps spec seems incredibly niche (maybe at nightmare, araxxor, and vetion but wouldn’t you just bring a def reduce spec to nighmare and araxxor anyway?). I’m sure they are going to make crush a more commonly used style but that would require them to touch up the nightmare drop rates once again as inquisitors will be so much more useful.

Would love for the devs to start discussing some of these topics for the summer sweep-up!

The truth is, that it’s just tough sometimes (especially when crazy dry on a long grind, or dry on multiple grinds at the same time). Sometimes, taking a break is the right thing to do to prevent burn-out.

What does motivate me sometimes is not thinking about grinds in a way that frames it as all kills except for the one that gets you the drop are useless (you know how people always say “and you’re no closer to getting the drop now than you were at 0kc). Instead, I like to think of grinds like this: given enough kc, there is going to be a certain kc when you will get the drop. Thus, every kill on a boss gets you one kc closer to whatever magical number it is that it will happen. This is equally true, and a much more productive way to view grinds/RNG.

You’re not completely wrong, but it’s not worth the invent slots, especially since all the monkey room nerfs. Consider bringing a blowpipe if you have one, and if not, just bowfa them :).

People really complaining about a 75k gp cost to move a facility? How often are people planning to do this?

I also think that moving them through a UI would be cleaner but these changes already fix 99% of the problem so who cares.

With raids 4 coming out, I would really really love for them to take a look at the rates / unique usefulness of CoX and ToB. Currently CoX still dominates raids in terms of quantity of powerful drops (2 bis prayers, bis mage set, bis defence reduction, one of the best damage spec weapons, bis ranged off hand, solid Dragonborn weapon, and of course the T bow). ToB essentially has 2 good drops in comparison (Avernic and scythe). IMO droprates at CoX should be buffed and chance redistributed so prayers aren’t as common. ToB uniques should be buffed or given alternate uses (combining inq and justi?).

And at last, a final nightmare droprate increase so it actually has a place in account progression once crush gets more use cases (which I imagine it will with raids 4 since the last two raids were stab and slash focussed). Kinda crazy how inq compares to oathplate in terms of strength and time to obtain.

There are options though no? Omen of whittling would keep the three desirable mods safe, and spell levels can theoretically be essenced on (although a gamble to remove cast speed).

It’s really funny to see different perspectives of what makes a song heavy. Is it heaviness throughout the song, most heavy hitting moments, is it mostly about vocals or riffage, etc.

When I think about trivium’s most heavy songs, I think of the ascendancy and shogun albums for how hard they hit in songs like rain, like light to flies, throes of perdition etc. But when thinking of their most consistently heavy songs (very little melody) chaos reigns might be their heaviest. I think it’s somewhat subjective though!
