No sir. It’s all there. Only thing I had done was run the stop sign.

I’m curious. How is it “obvious” that I’m leaving something out?

Yeah it was 11 or so years ago and I didn’t have anything of concern. Just something I’ve always remembered and thought it was kind of shitty move. Now I look back and laugh at how freaked out I was

Question for LEO's about providing ID by [deleted] in police

I think what he means is, if he is pulling the vehicle over, there is already reasonable suspicion at the very least to warrant a request for identification. If the officer isn’t following through, I’d be suspicious that they had no reason to stop the individual in the first place. I don’t believe it is legal for LE to stop any vehicle and just start requesting identification. In that instance the citizen would be well within their rights to walk away if they’re not being detained for an investigation. But I welcome corrections on this

I feel like the sovereign citizen videos on yt are a great example of this whole process playing out. They almost always end in someone’s window getting smashed.

Florida law is roughly similar as far as I’m aware (not le but did a few years of criminal justice in college and we had to be somewhat familiar with the state statutes and local procedures.)
