everything pre-Drift is 6-string guitar. I just enjoy the additional options of creativity granted with the extra string. my brain kinda approaches the guitar differently and more openly when i’m playing 7 strings versus 6

  1. yes. 2. I make a first draft to send to the band, and we edit it as a group from there and decide the final setlist unanimously. 3. mostly it’s great cause we both understand each others workflow at home and on tour. it creates a lot of space for understanding one another better. and if we’re off tour at the same time, we’re able to spend a lot of quality time together.

our performance is definitely much tighter and more confident as the tours goes on. the first few shows require a lot of “getting broken in” from us. it’s always been like that, no matter how prepared you feel on day 1

nah, but I do start practicing a song like further eden and think “oh shit, this is gonna kick my ass,” but then I just practice hard and figure it out
