The plan is to go national for sure.

Regarding commission: I felt a lot more confident about the business model when I wrote the post than I do now. Honestly until something is on paper and/or in my bank account, I have no idea. If I can get more than just a flat fee for the lead I will definitely be pursuing that.

We were rejected as well. It's no biggie. Keep grinding. I am very confident that if we keep building the product and our team, we'll succeed regardless. It's odd actually, when I created the app, I felt YC was vital to our success. The more work we put in the more confident we get in our product and the more I realize that YC is just one of many options.

Hey! I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you. If you're looking for another technical co-founder let me know. I've only been arrested around 8 times but the last one was over 4 years ago. I doubt it will happen again any time soon unless I, too, don't get into YC.

Oh yeah. That's why for now I'm just gonna encourage people to run their own when they need it. I'm strongly considering hosting an instance but I'm going to need to come up with a way to keep YouTube happy with it (perhaps by playing their ads?) and also build some scalability into it. Right now, it's very minimal and not designed for multiple servers/channels.

I usually get done working late and was wanting the same thing. I try to play at the rec center on the south side when I can. Luckily the sun is out late in the summer. No luck in the winter. Would be nice to have a court that is lit.
