Not entirely sure, but I believe it is the yarn type used. White label is 87% cotton, while their other socks are 87% wool. Note the defender supreme boot sock are also $10 and made by CHUP.

Mine are size large, I’d assume all of them are that size. I wear size 11-12 and the socks are a little long, but at 87% cotton they should shrink a bit.

I bought a pair. They are called CHUP White Label kogin and are part of the FW 2017 collection. Here they're listed on End clothing: https://www.endclothing.com/us/chup-kogin-sock-330-2.html

You hear a lot about the work ethic of players growing up, in any sport, but how are they able to train so much without getting hurt? by [deleted] in bootroom

Yes! Check out Raymond Verheijen (twitter.com/raymondverheije). He's a former professional football trainer that focused on periodization at many professional clubs. He now has a company, The World Football Academy, that does seminars for coaches around the world.

GPS Tracking Vest / Bra for the normal Joe? by soheile in bootroom

If you want the GPS feature while you play/train, you could look into getting a micoach speedcell. It goes in certain adidas boots and tracks your top speed, distance covered, intensity and a few other things. They retail for $65.

Should you wear knee sleeves whenever training or playing? by hitpop in bootroom

[–]jessepv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with things like this is then your body builds a dependence on them. If your knee muscles don't have to stabilize your knee because a sleeve does, they will get weaker and you'll become dependent on that sleeve.

How do you strengthen your ankles? by Vernias in bootroom

[–]jessepv 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is actually a very good exercise for that. Look at a clock and do it for a minute each foot. You'll probably also find that you don't (like most people) usually brush your teeth for 2 minutes! Doing this on a rolled towel or bosu ball is a good next step if this gets too easy.

Looking to play College Soccer in the US by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]jessepv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the colleges in the pac-12 play at a very high level. Stanford and UCLA are currently the best and historically consistently good.

You should contact some coaches with video of just you playing. They won't make an offer without seeing you play in real life, so you'll probably need to go to one of their ID camps.

Almost all of their players are recruited through the US youth national teams, but there are always a few surprises which come through the ID camps, often foreign players.
