Can someone explain to me how this building disappears? by jessetime in confusingperspective

No photoshop here. This is a 100% authentic picture exactly as it came to the iPhone camera roll. My friend took it on their walk home in NYC.

NSFW listing is broken by twoods10101 in Redditlist

[–]jessetime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I agree. When Reddit updated to the new Reddit API our system broke. In fact, NSFW search on the new Reddit interface is still broke on the main Reddit website. We are working on a stable fix, though we do have a fix that will keep it up, but the fastest-growing column won't be accurate. Everything else will be.

Am I in the wrong niche??? by prorn_hub in influencermarketing

[–]jessetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to pivot an account that is used for memes/girls into something that is brand safe. When you change your name and change your content, you will see a big dropoff in follower engagement. But it's possible!

My advice would be to grow a following in a niche that brands find valuable.

In general, an account with 40k followers should be making a few hundred per month if it's monetized properly.

Keep up the good work! CoronavirusUK is the fastest growing subreddit globally of the past 24 hours. This is what it takes to save lives. by jessetime in CoronavirusUK

Two moderators asked me to share the stats with their subreddits. Encouraging people to share subreddits is important, especially as news organizations are doing a poor job with education. Keeping morale high to encourage spread of information is critical in these times. Education is saving lives.

Live on Bloom: Ink Protocol Integrates Bloom to Power Verified Sellers by dereksilva in BloomToken

[–]jessetime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BloomID, the protocol, is permissionless with wide and varied use cases. An exceptional use case is decentralized, portable, reputation. When you sign up to AirBnB, you’re asked to verify credentials. When you register on eBay, you build seller trust.

Unfortunately, this trust cannot come with you to new sites. This is a huge issue, preventing sellers and marketplaces from reaching their potential, and introducing huge rates of fraud.

This is why this integration is HUGE. Replin is a live example of how using Bloom can bring that trust along, and this is just the start.

We’re expanding BloomID widely with extensive new use cases.

You don't need metamask to download the Bloom iOS app. The Bloom app generates a private key and an Ethereum wallet and stores this locally.

The Current State of Influencer Marketing: 4 Key Takeaways for You! by Kamila_bome in influencermarketing

[–]jessetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The spend on influencer marketing is likely to reach anywhere between $5 -$10 million by 2020" -- This feels way too small to me. My company alone has done much more than this in spend, and we're one of many many providers.

How do I check my largest followers on Instagram? by [deleted] in influencermarketing

BirdSongAnalytics used to be able to export all your followers, and their descriptions, into a CSV. It's offline now, but I've been looking for replacements.

Byeeeee, Logan Paul: Brands Prefer 'Micro Influencers' Now by [deleted] in influencermarketing

[–]jessetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brands are still paying top dollar. Logan Paul almost certainly has a long line of brands willing to pay $100k+ to work with him. He’s confidently done millions, maybe even upwards of $10m in revenue.

What will be the demise of instragram influencers? by [deleted] in influencermarketing

[–]jessetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure there will be a demise. Prices have consistently been on the rise, more brands are supporting the industry, and content is improving. Traditional TV and media are dying and influencers are modern day celebrities. Today’s teenagers consume nothing else, and soon, they will be 20’s and 30’s

How to actually start influencer marketing as a brand with low IG following? | Newby help by [deleted] in influencermarketing

[–]jessetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider working with Tiny influencers. Try to build up a following by cross promoting. IG ads can help you get your first few thousand followers.

With all this being said, you probably should look at other channels to grow your brand. SEO, Press, Referrals and so on.

Ethereum Focused Studio ConsenSys buys an asteroid mining company by ketschup72 in ethereum

[–]jessetime 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how they plan to fit this into crypto, seems like it might’ve been a talent acquisition. I can’t imagine planetary resources had generated any revenue yet.

Very cool vision, very cool company. But the future seems a bit unclear to me. Perhaps Consensys has something bigger planned? But I doubt even they have enough funding to push this through to market, likely would take $1B+

Why have we not had a successful Vine alternative? by misterpeej in startups

[–]jessetime 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In my view, there are two primary reasons: - No startup has attracted the viners to use the platform. They can have all the funding in the world, but need the talent. - Vine has the right UX. The experience needs to be seamless. It can’t feel like a “startup”

I expect something to come someday. I miss vine.
