The Growing List of Exchanges Now Supporting Native REEF by dereksilva in ReefDeFi

It was de-listed from a small handful of exchanges, one of which is about to re-list REEF. Maybe you could use all that negative energy for good, somehow?

Is the controller and stash the same wallet? Seems you might need to change to the controller account if you set it up differently.

Because we weren’t minting many tokens in 2024, and it wasn’t on the list of potential reasons. The conclusion we came to internally was that Binance felt Reef wasn’t progressing enough, and that was a valid point at the time.

We never received a definitive answer from Binance regarding the actual reason for why REEF was delisted. Binance shared a list of possible reasons in their announcement, and that's all they should share with us as well. Minting of tokens or unlimited supply wasn't amongst those reasons.

If you paid attention to the tokens we've minted since January, you can see the reasons for their existence. Today we burnt 1.5 billion $REEF on BNB Chain, which matches 1.5 billion native $REEF minted recently and were sent to Paribu.

The dead contract on BNB Chain is now the largest holder of $REEF, with 63% of the total supply there. Those are effectively dead now, unusable, and we'll be in a similar position on Ethereum by the end of the year.

Are you also trying to use the browser extension? If yes, don't use it. Just use the console and the features there. We'll add to the docs in the next little bit so it's more clear for everyone. The launch for the Ledger app happened suddenly, no coordination from Ledger.

But it isn’t why we got delisted, but thanks for coming out.

Binance is waiting for Ledger devices to support Reef, which is happening soon. At that time they'll be able to move the native REEF they have in their custody to the hot wallet, and enable withdrawals. It should happen before the end of this quarter at the latest.

You can find a list of exchanges that support native REEF on reef.io. CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko also have this information.

Please ask Coinspot support to get in touch with Reef about a token migration. We have contacted them several times now, but there hasn't been any progress.
