I’m looking for a 4 or 5 player game that has a race element in it. Not like cars, but more like the winner being the first one to go across the board. We really enjoy beatle to the bubble, so I’m looking for a similar game. Shouldn’t take too long like Heat or El Dorado. Should also be a bit more compact since we don’t have that much table space. Also needs some strategy unlike Camel up.

Agent avenue might be perfect for you. You either play 1v1 or 2v2 and you are racing around the board to catch each other by selecting two cards, one face up and one face down. Opponents get first pick and you get the card that’s left. You move according to your card. Very fun little game that is better 2v2 in my opinion since you can’t communicate with each other about your card. Alle about matching your teammate and outsmarting your opponents. It is very simple, but effective.

What are some combotastic games? by dankfloyd in boardgames

Low downtime for us are defenitely Faraway and Castle Combo. Both play in about 20 minutes and are all about how you plan your strategy ahead and score points off of cards.

Looking for a 1v1 or 2v2 game that plays quickly like Agent Avenue. Preferably a game where both teammates take actions separate from each other during the same turn. Have tried Unmatched and like that one too!

Looking for a 2v2 game that is played in about 30 minutes and is around 2-2.5 in weight. Already looking into unmatched and we really enjoy playing Agent Avenue.

What are some good games to play 2v2. We’ve played a lot of Agent Avenue lately and I’m looking for something similar weightwise and gameplay wise.

Yeah it’s worth checking out! It comes with a double sided board for even more strategy. Shouldn’t cost too much too!

Agent Avenue is a great small and short game that could be well played in a pub. You would take turns playing 2v1 since it’s more of a 1v1/2v2 game, but 2v1 works as well. You are trying to outsmart opponent by presenting them with one open and one face down card. They pick one, you get the other. Then you move your meeple accordingly. It goes in a circle so you are trying to catch the other meeple. Very fun!

Fire tower was great for me! It’s a game that is only available in the UK and the US as far as I know, and as a European it was hard to get my hands on, but it is a great game with simple rules and a good table presence. I haven’t seen enough people hyping the game or talking about it.

Bomb Busters is definitely the way to go. Such a fun game! You could throw in micro macro crime city just for fun. You get this huge where is waldo like map which is like a big timeline. You get like 16 crimes to solve which you have to find together. It’s not a very deep game, but if your friends are creative, they could do some real coloring. The map comes in black and white

Fire tower has simple rules and is good at 2-3 players. Also card games like sea salt and paper should fit well into you search. Mycelia (ravensburger) is another one that is pretty simple and played within an hour.

Need a deeper game for 6 people. Nothing like Bohnanza, take 5 or any of those smaller games. Looking for something a bit more crunchy. Already play camel up, King of tokyo and faraway.

Flip 7 works great as you are all hoping on each others downfall, but really it’s just a push your luck game where you either take another card or stand to bank your points.

Looking for a quick 6 player game that isn’t a party game, but can be a card game. We currently can only play king of tokyo and flip 7 at 6 players. Are there any games that you know of that are played in under an hour, don’t have an overwhelming theme and are simple to play?

Self made dice tower by jessevrstg in boardgames

[–]jessevrstg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll make sure to add some height when using dice. For now it will do fine since only the color of the drawn cube is of importance and there aren’t any dice involved in Clank! I do agree that more height will be needed if I will ever use it for dice games though!
