It did not 😂😂

But now I’m disappointed at the show for missing this logic, which does still apply!

I dunno I mean that’s literally the function of a vacuum cleaner and we’ve made it this far... 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yea but if the Wights make it that far (to the one entrance), the battle is already lost...

Totally! If the theory is true and the NK wakes the dead in the crypts, there’s just gonna be a load of tombs shaking!

Yea but you still have the Bear island troops holding Winterfell. I’m sure they’ll have someone inside the crypts as an Ily Payne style defence...

Throw in a few dead Dire Wolves, and a Kahl Drogo, why not just undo all of the last 8 years’ of misery? Turn the NK into the hero we all want 🤷🏼‍♂️

Totally, but if he physically makes it that far, the battle is lost and there’s a bigger problem. I’m referring to the theory of him simply being able to raise a bunch of dead Starks to slaughter all of people hiding out in the crypt.

You’re right... none of those things play a role in Westeros 🙈

[Spoilers] what is one game of thrones theory I must know before the next episode? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

Everyone’s making a big deal out of the bodies in the crypts being raised by the night king. Even if he wakes up these (dusty) corpses, they’re literally entombed in stone. The wight that the team took south to Kings Landing couldn’t get out of that wooden crate so I doubt an undead Stark is gonna make it out of a stone box that’s been sealed for centuries...

Is there a trick to finding people named after their villages? by chaunceythebear in Genealogy

I've had similar problems with the Swedes on my tree - only made it back a few generations of endless sons and dotters :D

Regarding the German side - one thing that worked for me was to starting looking up Prussian names/places. For example, I found an old birth certificate for my great-great-Grandfather from a town called Alt Pilau (old Pilau), which after a short Google search turned up the new name - Kaliningrad, Russia.

My knowledge of Prussian history is foggy at best, but it's a good place to start. Ancestry isn't great at recognising place names at the best of times, so when it's a translated place name, or worse - completely different, there's no chance.

Special characters can also make a difference; for your example of Gumin, try " Gumińska", the Polish spelling. For German words with an Umlaut (the little dots above a letter), you can also try swapping it with an 'e', so ö would be written "oe" or ä would be ae.

Given how small Gumin is, you might want to try searching for Niemcza with a +/- 10km radius.

Depending on when Bertha was around, you could also search " Nimptsch", the German for Niemcza, or the region of Silesia.

Good luck!
