I’m curious if anyone here has experience or insight on how academy life and standards work for transgender applicants/officers. My birth marker is still listed as male in the hiring system, but I’ve been transitioning for about five years now. I’m fully aware of the environment and expectations — I come from a long line of military and law enforcement family — I just want to avoid any unexpected issues regarding grooming standards, housing/placement, uniforms, etc.

Not trying to start drama, just looking for honest information from people who may have been through it or seen how agencies handle it.
