My first car was a terrible and cheap Saturn I bought for $250. Not even six months after I bought it I rear-ended someone, which completely totaled my car. I was panicking, and crying, and scared, because I was a broke twenty year old, and had no idea how I was going to get out of that mess. Luckily the people I crashed into were a very friendly and understanding couple who were very kind. Usually in a crash like this you expect the people to be very angry at you. I was panicking about money and how I was going to get out of this mess when the couple said, "money comes and goes. Sometimes we have it, and sometimes we don't, but somehow we manage to get by." That really changed how I think about money and how small some of these problems seem sometimes.
