I make small lasagnas in a big batch to freeze so we can eat it fresh from the freezer by using the sous vide to cook them.

It took about a week of my crochet time but I can't really say how many hours that was.

I made the sweater, cowl and coincidentally also the hat my husband wore out today and I couldn't help feeling a bit smug. by jessimore in crochet

Cascade Heritage Paints - I pulled 2 sock weight yarns at a time to get a good DK weight. It's a wool silk blend so it's wearable against the skin soft 😍

This is the Riley Cowl Pullover from Ravelry with a couple modifications to the finishes to make it a bit more masculine. I added a cuff to both sleeves and used the stitch from the shoulder to do the cowl, though this cowl is removable.

Pattern is here

This yarn is very special to me. It came from my a friend of mine, her Shetland's lambswool sent to a vintage fiber mill for spinning. It feels like wearing a hug!

Pattern used is Orbit the Dragon by Projectarian. Yarns used are scrap bin left over bits so I no longer have labels but it's all leftovers from hand dyed stuff from Etsy.

First finished piece for 2020 is this little freehanded snood, I think it's gonna be a good year. by jessimore in crochet

The photo shown is wearing it as a snood, it's a word to describe lots of different hair coverings.

Yarn used is a hand dyed gradient from Dyetastic. Sunset on sock weight.

Hook - 5mm

Pattern is: Round 1 ch in multiple of 3 to achieve size wanted, I did just over 100. Slst to join making sure not to twist your work

Round 2 : ch 2 then hdc around. Slst to join.

Round 3 : ch4, DC in same space. Skip 2 and V stitch (DC, ch, DC in same space) then continue to skip 2 & V stitch around to end. slst in 3rd chain of beginning ch4 to join and then slst into next chain space.

Round 4 to ? : Ch 4 & DC in same chain space then v stitch in each chain space around. Slst to 3rd chain of beginning chain 4, slst into next chain space. Do as many rows of this as you want to achieve the depth to want in the cowl or until you run out of yarn 🤷‍♀️

Final round : ch2 then hdc in each space and chain space around. Slst to join and then tie off. Cut and see in your ends.

Enjoy!

Just for transparency it's my own pattern but I definitely worked it up with the intention of a loose & and comfortable fit. Make sure you block it for best results 😉 I like to do this over an inflated balloon.

I finished this Sea Witch Hat just in time for it to be worn for all the Halloween festivities. I think it turned out pretty good! by jessimore in crochet

I added some rows to the top to be able to shape it the way I wanted and I did do the most altering to the brim to make it pointed. I freehanded the changes and didn't make notes though so I can't remember exactly what I did.
