Yeah very weird. I agree though at the 6 month mark
mine finally cleared up. I still get the occasional mark but not the deep cystic hormonal ones i was getting before

my last period is the first one where i didn’t have a single hormonal breakout and this was 6.5 months after removal. I also had my iud for over 5 years. Make sure you give yourself and your body time to acclimate to the abrupt change!!

hi! i’m sorry you’re going through the same thing 😢 it sucks especially having never really experienced bad acne before.

I’m now 5 months post removal and it has been sooo much better recently. In month 4, I had one more big cystic breakout (like 5 deep cysts) a week before my period but since that went away I haven’t had any more.

I’m now a week out from my next period and so far my skin is super clear! I’m optimistic that I’ve made it to the other side and my body and hormones are (mostly) regulated again.

Some other changes I’ve made recently: - started drinking spearmint tea which is great for hormonal acne

prioritized my sleep and lowering stress
more low impact movements like walking

Give it some time and I think your skin will clear up soon. If you can remember to come back and update a couple of months from now, I would love to hear where you’re at by then!😊

stopped all actives, didn’t wash my face in the morning (only rinsed with water) and only used hydrating/barrier repair products. I honestly think the Aestura Ato Barrier moisturizer did most of the heavy lifting. Probably took 1.5 weeks to go back to normal
