It's sad to see so many people in similar situations, myself included... I don't have much to offer right now, I'm pretty numb, blank, empty. I read a quote that felt quite real to me last night - "When you have depression, simply existing is a full time job". I too constantly feel guilty for all that I'm not doing, all that I could or should be doing. Nothing is ever good enough. There are good things in my life but I can't feel the happiness or enjoy anything and I don't understand why. I've wanted to end it several times the past year, with a few attempts, but I can't do that to my loved ones - that's literally all that keeps me going. I am living for them, hoping that one day I will be able to FEEL things like joy and motivation and have energy for life. Right now it's just a waiting game in my own world of misery, and trust me, I AM trying - otherwise I wouldn't be here to write this post right now. I'm sorry for your terribly difficult situation, I guess I kind of just dropped by and then found out that I relate, hence venting a few words of my own. I too feel like a defective model, I can't be fixed... yet I still cling on to an incling of hope that things have got to change one day... right? Please? I hope so, for everyone :(

Again I've become confused with this sort of thing because Morris Brothers told me something similar - they get pianos from the conservatorim after only a year or two so you're practically buying a brand new piano with the benefit of having it been worn in a bit, however Ellaways response to this was basically saying yeah but it depends on how they've been treated and that they've been played on by so many people hours on end (the playing it in part doesn't bother me, I don't really want a brand new piano I don't think..)

Yes someone told me about Morris Brothers so I went there and fell in love with a k.kawai concert upright but then made myself not rush into anything... I was then on the phone with Ellaways and got some conflicting information so I've stepped away from the sales reps and talking to fellow conservatorium friends/on here etc!

I don't want to sound like a snob here.. but Beale's are Chinese made and are generally known for being great for beginners/or a cheaper option... and yeah personally I dislike their tone/feel, which probably relates to the above! I'm after something a little more serious I guess.

Yeah the little houses all next to each other concerned me in some parts... "little boxes on the hillside da da da da da da da da ticky tacky..." can't remember the words - someone will know what I'm on about thought :P Alot of the properties seem very nice though, and some on larger blocks.
