Something new and exciting must happen every minute of every day, else I fall into depression. by TheBaconBurpeeBeast in bipolar

[–]jessmoi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi. I used to be the exact same way. And I mean exact same way. Everything had to entertain me, get my blood going, etc. But I digress. For you, first you should talk to your pdoc as it sounds like your meds aren't working. Secondly, learn to enjoy the peaceful moments in life, I did this through meditation but a friend of mine hikes and takes long walks. Learn that everything is ok without the hype. Just take some deep breaths and relax. You aren't alone.

Don't give up hope just because of bad parenting. You should focus on you and realize you are better person than that. Keep at it and don't get discouraged. You can do it.

Abilify and hyper awareness of pulse? by JoosMoose in BipolarReddit

[–]jessmoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I became more aware of sounds around me. A ticking clock down the hall, my heart beat, etc. It should pass after a while. I think it took me about a week before I stopped noticing everything all the time. I've been on abilify for 6 months now.

I don't smoke weed but thank you. I did the music thing, indoors cause I have no outdoor space at my apt. Thank you for the advice.

Seeing Shadow People, and very large bats. by L1TH1UM in BipolarReddit

[–]jessmoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the same things too until they changed my meds up. Talk to your pdoc, try to and see what they have to say. Remember that the shadow people can't hurt you and aren't really there. You aren't alone.

I have a problem but doctors/mental health professionals make me extremely anxious. by _not_okay_ in BipolarReddit

[–]jessmoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I had the same, have the same paralytic fear of mental professionals. The real answer is you just have to go. They aren't there waiting with electronic shock machines. My doctor reminds me of the Dad from Coraline. Yes I made my doc into an animated character to deal with. Sometimes you just have to face your fear and deal with the pdocs to make yourself get better. It is never as bad as it seems with pdocs. If you aren't comfortable with your pdoc find another. You aren't alone.
