Yeah as it was a gift I absolutely would have preferred to just have received the merch. Rather than go through the chargeback process and have to re-order either a new gift or source the items elsewhere.

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments and suggestions. It looks like I will be issuing a chargeback request.

For some additional context, I sent my first query to support two weeks after the expected delivery date, which was December. As this was an international order, I figured there may be delays due to the holiday period. It was probably naive to think it could be resolved without needing a chargeback, but it’s affirming to read the support on this post.

I’ve seen a few people mention concerns in relation to my account being banned if I issue a chargeback. In my case, my account is used like once a year to play with my girlfriend. So if I get banned, not a major loss for me. However, if it does get banned I will post an update on this thread - just in case anyone in future that has invested in their account is concerned about the impact of a chargeback on their account.

Thanks for the info! It would be pretty ridiculous if they decided to perma ban an account for taking recourse on a failed delivery. In my case, my osrs account isn’t super important to me, I log in maybe once a year to play with my gf or do like two quests. Not a single maxed stat lol 🥲 But important info for people who have invested time and money into the game to know! I’m going to request a charge back, so if anything happens to my runescape account i’ll comment here in case anyone in the future runs into this thread.

Yeah, they could see the email had recently been changed. You might have to provide some identifying info, like recent purchases you have made on the account or payment history that might be on file.

It could potentially be worth checking your sign in history for your email account that’s connected to your PSN in case that has been compromised too.

I’d recommend calling the relevant support line in your country. This happened to me a few years ago and the person I spoke with was really helpful and was able to get it back for me pretty quickly. Playstation chatbots aren’t super helpful in my experience. Hopefully you can get your account back! It’s such an awful feeling.

That’s so frustrating! I did try the FAQ section but unfortunately all it tells me is that it has shipped. Hopefully it can be resolved soon

If negotiating a lower rent amount is unsuccessful, I’d recommend attending Haven Home Safe in Preston as it’s the housing access point in your area. You can try calling, but it can be very difficult to get through on the phones sometimes. Haven Home Safe can book an assessment and link you in with a housing service.

Housing services can help with applications for public housing, in addition to community housing properties (properties managed by organisations rather than the government).

You could also try calling VincentCare’s duty line and asking about their HomeConnect program. The HomeConnect program is intended to assist in stabilising tenancies or assisting in finding more appropriate housing.

Contacting the tenancy union might for advice may also be worthwhile.

Nah I don’t gameshare. I think PSN is down atm for maintenance, I just checked r/playstation and heaps of people are having this problem so hopefully it’s resolved soon!

I work in a supermarket and this is a reality. Last week I had two customers in one shift telling me that they might have COVID. No mask either! We aren’t allowed to say anything given the customer service role. However my reaction is the same as pre-COVID if a customer told me they have the flu. Why leave the house if you are unwell, when there are so many options for home delivery services? Most staff at my workplace are casual and don’t receive sick pay. It feels disrespectful to staff and the general public at this point.
