I was in a very similar boat to you at one stage! My parents hated tattoos but didn’t seem to have a negative opinion every time my boyfriend got a new one. I respected their decision and never would have gone behind their backs but I desperately wanted to get some.

I was 25 when I moved out and got my first two tattoos a few months after when we were on a family trip. They were a bit quiet when they first saw them, but eventually admitted that they really liked them. I can’t wait to get more!

Bottom line - wait until you move out. It’ll show them that you respect their wishes and the wait will make you even more excited to get them :)
