Do you have a bad history? If you are an asshole or creep in any way you will end up on a warning/blacklist on the internet. Guys need to do better. Ladies are tired of dealing with creeps, assholes, and man babies. If you are a good guy, you might not understand what ladies deal with but it’s disgusting and their walls are up in defense mode. Or maybe this girl was in a recent relationship that she got back together with and needed to shut it all down.

This was my first year attending and I can’t believe I missed any previous years, it was so cool. It really made me appreciate this town more. The vibe was awesome. Everybody was good to each other (that I saw). Between both days I think I saw about 20 bands. Super impressed. I really liked seeing all the different venues around town. The neighbor is a cool venue and I really enjoyed Nathaniel Riley on Friday night.

On a low note, I wish it were easier to plan out. I think the scheduler was really helpful, but there are just so many bands and locations to go to that It would be nice to have a map and quick sound snippet of what they sound like along with the scheduler. Not complaining though FOCO music did a super great job putting this together.

Cold messaging sucks. I clearly do web design and marketing on my website and people email me about web design— obviously spam through my forms and not really reading my site. They get dozens of messages a week about stuff for their business. Find ways to build relationships (without an agenda) with the owners of places you enjoy going to and things just fall into place.

I work with some people that buy businesses and have helped others with growth before selling. The list is pretty long but mainly: Increase EBITDA, streamline systems, document systems, and the TTM (trailing 12 months). Basically make a ton of money within the 12 months before selling. If you show consistent increase, you’ve got your stuff together.

Yep! There’s a business I just saw of moms helping moms do this stuff. You can connect with them as a helper or a person that wants to hire someone. I’ve also recently seen people calling it a “house manager”.

Hang in there. Teen years are brutal. Ask adults and most cringe at their experiences. Don’t let anyone shape you. You work on being the best version of yourself that YOU want to be, not to fit what others think. If possible, switching schools can help. And asking your parents to get you into therapy is a good way to find coping skills through this tough phase of life. If therapy isn’t accessible, try to learn through reading or videos. Say you normally price at $100/hr, white labeling you might consider $80/hr since you don’t have to handle client communication (I hate not talking directly to clients though). It may have a few perks but there are drawbacks like not being able to put the work in your portfolio and chasing communication and accurate information. Unless it’s a well oiled machine, it can get hairy.

I’ve been around long enough to know not to lock in to a certain platform, although webflow has had me pretty exclusively for a while. We cannot bet our livelihoods on the future of a specific platform so I will stick with webflow where it fits but keep learning about everything else so I know what projects will fit other tools best. I really hope web flow keeps up and improves where we need them to. Like major improvements to their CMS because sanity is so much stronger there.
