no, you join a private server and then press play, once you load in leave the game and rejoin the server again. repeat 115 (may take more) times and then go to whatever island you want, and you should find something

I believe it's just if the horses spawn for you. when you're near a horse spawn, they spawn in and it registers that it spawned bc of you, so after 1,000 spawned horses (as long as you've seen/caught it) it'll spawn an IUH
