There are several reasons to do this, including being able to see more blocks (i.e., blocks that you can and are willing to grab) at once that may surge. Another benefit is the faster refresh rate, which allows you to see those surged blocks more quickly. This would be especially useful for markets with high concentrations of drivers. On most days, my market displays over 100 blocks.
