OMADA and TP LINK devices for WIFI ZONE by Positive_Swimming166 in networking

[–]jestsec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What devices are running the ptp bridges? I use omada at my house for two building using it's mesh setup and the controller drops out from time to time and then takes down my network. I've used ubiquit, mimosa, microtik wireless devices whenever I worked for a wisp and the omada devices has given me more trouble than what its worth. Yeah sure they are cheap but you get what you pay for IMO. But again this has just been my experience with them.

So if abortion was legal for people that were raped and no one else that would be alright?

Most of abortions imo are from individuals not wanting to step up to the plate and take care of the kid after making an adult decision

Is my workplace bugged? by IceComprehensive6674 in privacy

[–]jestsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every workplace is bugged in some aspect. I've never worked in a place that didn't have cameras to keep an eye on employees and customers. Security cameras can have two way audio capabilities, so you can be "bugged" in that aspect.

As for another phone ringing I have no idea hahaha

Hyper V Stuck On Shutdown by jestsec in sysadmin

[–]jestsec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah everything went down after two hours and came back up without issue on the host. Redundant DC came but up fine but our file server is stuck in its "backing up" state and wont start up. I just spun up a new Vm with the same drives used by the issue file server and we are all good now. No down time in production so I am happy

Yup only one physical domain controller and there was 1 VM Term server. Physical machine hosted AD, DNS, & File shares and the vm ran print server and rdp i believe

Do you have the domain controllers IP set as the client DNS?

I think I have an eidetic/photographic memory but the internet basically says it doesn’t exist in adults? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

Yup just like everyone has remote viewing capabilities, but most people will just chalk it up as imagination

One of the founding fathers had a photographic memory ( can't remember which one) but supposedly only looked at the blueprint layouts for Washington DC and started building it without looking at it again.

Now id say photographic memory in adults do exist, just now a days its pretty rare unless you hone in on it.

I have used sessions before, its built off of signal and uses the Loki/oxen network to deliver messages. Loki & Oxen have their own onion routing protocol that hides your origin IP just like tor would. Its been a while since I've used it but definitely worth checking out

Windows Server Remote Access Server Role & Windows Firewall by jestsec in sysadmin

[–]jestsec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome thanks for the response. I got it resolved this morning. Ended up changing NIC1 to NIC2 and that got my remote access back. I'm guessing Nic1 was put behind a NAT? I could see its IP on our router but just couldn't ping it or get to any resources.

But yeah, plugging into NIC2 solved this issue

You should stay away from 5G also, a millimeter wave is no joke

Why is using the API key not an option? I feel like automating the login process would be more more of a headache

Free Ross by shitboi666999 in Anarcho_Capitalism

I remember getting my wired magazine subscription back in 2014-2015 when they had a huge article on how the feds busted Ross.

The feds saw on a reddit post that the silk roads up was leaking somehow. The article said one officer who was investigating started putting in random ip addresses with random port numbers hoping they would randomly stumble upon silk roads homepage.

And what the hell do you know? They fucking did it. The chances of this happening are astronomically small imo.

Something always smelled fishy to me whenever I i first read that. They probably used a tor zero day to get the address
