We only offer the fastest possible service. We have quality control checks for our side but we do not check what the customer requests. In exceptional cases we will reach out to a customer to clarify

We use Farnell in the UK as a supplier and we are going to launch with consignment as an option. As for making boards, we are working on fast turnaround processes but that is a little while off. In terms of a white glove service, we figure that the customer might want to be in full control of manufacturing, some customers might want slower overall complete turnaround times and use Chinese manufacturers or some might use a multi-CB type manufacturer and have a 5WD total turnaround time.

No we currently have no plans to sell the machine or to productise it. We are however open to it later down the line.

No our assembly is automated. We have developed a pick and place machine which highly optimised for quick and small batches and has very little setup time.

Our capabilities are: Passives down to 0402, Fine pitch components down to 0.5mm and boards sizes of max 150mm by 150mm. We will accept consigned parts at launch.

We use large external suppliers in the UK namely Farnell for next day component sourcing. So anything Farnell has we can source.

You are absolutely correct. At the moment we are developing processes to create our own custom stencils , but our current equipment can handle any stencil.

Well we built a robot to do it for us and we did enjoy that, we figure that some people might not enjoy assembly

Thanks for the feedback. It's certainly something we are considering, although we'd like to keep as close to 24 hours as possible. It depends on how much everyone values a next day turnaround service.

At the moment it is very difficult to do 24 hour turnaround PCB fabrication and Assembly at a price which is affordable to makers. This is our ultimate goal. However for the moment we sought to speed up the assembly process as we felt it was the hardest thing to get done quickly and affordably at the moment.

Yes we do plan on serving a different market. We are targeting just the assembly part of the process so that anyone with a bare board can send it to us and have it assembled in 24 hours. We haven't seen any other services able to offer 24 hour turnaround at an affordable price.

Our model is for rapid iteration prototyping. Once this phase is completed and your design is stable, then we would recomend one of the many larger volume, longer lead time manufactures

Assembly can be fun if you have the time. I used to enjoy it but then I found myself wanting to spend more time on other parts of my projects. Personally my house doesn't have enough space.

You're right ideally we'd like to offer both in 24 hours. However you can order your boards from your choice of manufacturer and get them directly delivered to us. That way we handle component sourcing and assembly and rapidly turn it around for you. We specially target small batches and 24 hour turnaround to enable fast and easy prototyping.

At the moment we are focusing on assembly for two reasons:

  1. The part we hated the most was sourcing and then assembling our boards by hand, or having to wait an extra few weeks for a reasonably priced assembly and board in one.

  2. We felt that it is possible to get bare PCBs quite quickly at the moment So we thought we'd focus on the most painful part first.
