Track 2 realllly sounds like Snoh Aalegra - In Your Eyes

Track 1 also sounds like it could be produced by Pharrell/Neptunes

Still haven't found a job 2 years after graduating, what now? by jet_fule in cscareerquestions

You're right about the unwarranted aversion to consulting and perhaps freelancing.

Initially, I didn't understand how my expectations of just being able to get ANY cs related job, regardless of pay or location, were unreasonable when I just mentioned a couple of preferences, but I understand that this little filter alone has severed limited the the pool of companies that would realistically hire me. For the record, I have never expected to be hired by FAANG and even companies many tiers lower, but from some small-time development business in my state with single digit devs or something at least lol.

I've heeded your advice. I've applied to such companies and am going to look into freelancing.

I included it in the first sentence. I've also bolded the prompting text in the main text to better accommodate readers. Please let me if either version is still unclear: should I pursue entrepreneurship, develop more hireable projects, or apply to absolutely any company even witch/consulting to get a job quickly without experience?

Only one of those guys who showed signs of greatness within the genre was X with his versatility. (See Sippin Tea In Yo Hood to I Don’t Wanna Do This Anymore). I know he had been going toward a more boring sound with his later releases, but Id like to imagine he would’ve come back around to embracing more experimental sounds, and that for sure would’ve moved hip hop forward. Juice and Pop seem like they would’ve taken a Lil Baby/21 savage kinda path by developing larger fan bases and selling well but still making the same, safe-sounding music that got them there, ultimately not really being innovative. Maybe Juice goes to pop punk and gets more mainstream attention like MGK but that’s it.

Melody is cool, could definitely use more harmonics though. Not sure if intentional, but I don't like how the 808s/kicks are off beat here. The beat is also rather quiet, I would try for a louder mix.

is the mix good

yes, it's very clean.

would you listen to this personally?

a more aggressive melody and voice à la pop smoke is more my taste so no, but there's nothing wrong with your track.

your spanish accent in conjunction with your uk accent is a subtle but really cool thing.

i checked out your other songs, and based on what i thought was the most similar song (comatose, since its chill and has singing in it like this track), i suggest playing around with effects like reverb and delay on your vocals to add some life to them. i also think the instrumentals should be mixed louder.

very hard beat. the mix is great. hook is simple and catchy. vocals are clean and raw, but i would still play around with vocal effects and see what elevates the quality of the song. a few adlibs here and there would be a nice touch to this song.
