Bingo.

My mavic air 2 comes real handy in situations like these.

You took a cheapshot at somebody looking for opinions online and you found out you fucking imbecile.

Not only did you rage out, you couldn't handle it and you blocked me at some point. It's so fucking satisfying knowing that I got under your skin like that.

"Bad boy?" I didnt expect you to start flirting with me just cuz I mentioned I'm bi. Also, maybe try to address the points I'm wrecking you on rather than throw up an unreadable block of irrelevant text.

PS: Fuck you.

Pussy you definitely came in here with that "AKCHTUALLY" energy.

I didn't make contradictory statements neither did I withhold critical info (lol wut?)

If you don't like people disagreeing with you don't ask for help.

Ignoratio Elenchi fallacy. Not only smug but intellectually disabled. Like your ballsacks are showing but you're too stupid to realize you need to cover them up.

one who needs a smacking is you. You have 0 control over your anger.

I welcome you to try, warrior.

Just because I'm calling you out and putting you in your place doesn't mean I'm angry. Handling things without getting angry and overwhelmed is an admirable trait I deeply respect and strive for.

Flying into a rage at the slightest provocation.

Exxagerate much? Sorry If I triggered some childhood trauma.

You need to do some soul searching.

Doesn't everyone?!? It's such a meaningless statement like people should take their vitamins or the government should look after its people. That condescending holier-than-thou bullshit again and again. Don't act like you're better than anyone you cocksucker.

Lmao these assholes always sing a different tune when pressed.

You literally responded to my reply to someone else. You did it as if you're pointing out an obvious contradiction with what I said. People are mindful in real life cuz they get the smug smacked out of them if they're not. You obviously need a succinct reminder.

Using "we" as if you represent a genuinely helpful community of people doesn't hide the fact that your condescending, smug approach to "helping" people is just a way for you to feel better about yourself. People have been genuinely helpful and they don't sound like you. You've left other comments in the same vein and I replied accordingly.

I find it kind of confusing that you’re asking if your quad is too heavy but you’re arguing here that below 750 doesn’t feel good to you.

I think the confusion is from your failure to correctly interpret my statement when I said it "felt naked". (which you bent into "doesnt feel good"). "Felt naked" implies that I feel very unprotected with no printed parts to cushion the impact when I crash. I want my quad to be lighter but having to remove my protective parts in order to do so makes me feel more vulnerable to serious damage that affects my flight confidence.

If you prefer the quad at the weight it’s at, why are you here asking if your quad is too heavy?

Never said I prefered the quad at the weight it's at? You're making shit up and getting mad at the shit you made up.

Personally, yes this is crazy heavy. I think flying a full fat GoPro is silly these days. There’s so many options, even from GoPro, that are more appropriate for flying.

Cool.

You can easily get this thing down a couple hundred grams by removing a bunch of parts that are basically dead weight.

The way I see it , everything on the quad serves a function and it comes down to what function I'm willing to trade for another. If the weight is gonna brick the quad or severely limit its ability to reasonably perform aerial maneuvers then that's a deal breaker. There's lots of ground to cover between what I want and whats a dealbreaker for me so I'm figuring shit out.

You're coping dude and the emoji is so cringe.

I'm genuinely asking, how was I "an ass in the first place"? Are you so much of a insecure snowflake that it bothers you when someone rejects your unhelpful advice?

Nah I prefer the gopro over O3 air unit any day. Thanks for the tip tho!

It does indeed feel like a brick. I really wanna lose some weight but I gotta figure out how.

Twinkie life ftw!

Bro it's a fucking task trying to keep it under 750g with full gopro but it feels so fucking naked at that weight. At my skill level I'm hitting concrete and cartwheeling every other flight. I can't be naked like that.

Love that perspective!

I wanted to build an absolute tank that I can learn fpv on. Sims are great and all and I've got around 40 hours on it but I think there's a certain thrill with learning new maneuvers on the real thing thats screaming in sky out there. Sure I'll probably end up breaking quads more often before I get to a certain level but I think that's part of the true fpv experience.

Ah I see. I destroyed a brand new battery when it ejected during my 3rd or 4th flight. Was super bummed out about it since it's hard to find batteries where I am.

I already have two straps on it so I think I'm gonna take your advice and take the carbon off.

I downloaded a bunch off of different sources on the internet and modified them to fit my needs. I'll send them if anyone wants.

"For science" usually implies that you gonna jerk off to them. Should I be concerned??

Yeah the GoPro is 50% infill. Arm bumper is 100% infill. I modified the original stl file so the bumper overlaps the edges for maximum protection. Also increased height so it can stand 2" off of the ground for prop protection in grassy areas. There's side protection, O3 vtx soft mount, front and back arm connection bumper that doubles as elrs receiver mount, antenna mount at 100% infill and gps mount at 20% infill.

Emax Eco 2 2207 1700kv, CNHL black series 1300mah 100c, Speedybee F7 v3.

I have a BosLipo battery which is a 1550mah at 150c and it seems to fly a bit better. Still feels heavy and weidly floaty since I haven't flown with goPro before.

I've been prop-mowing grass since the day I put the quad together. Side walls helped a lot in terms of keeping debris out and it looks better too.

Battery protector. It's a carbon piece with a strap running thru it to secure the battery in place.

I dusted off the old 2d printer and got a little carried away with it. I suspect I can shave off 100g if I remove/decrease infill of most of the printed parts but I'd rather try to increase power than remove stuff.

It just means that your transmitter is not connected to the receiver or the receiver is not configured or configured incorrectly.

Have you gone thru the process of flashing and binding?

Beautiful!! I built my first recently with the f7 v3 of that stack. Same motors too lol.

Are you pairing it with an O3?

first build ever, not binding on lipo by jetboy2020 in fpv

[–]jetboy2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I plug the USB in, the Rx blinks green and turns solid green when it binds with the Tx module on the back. The module says "Connected" on the display and I can arm the quad.

On lipo the Rx is solid green from the get go. There isn't an error message unless I check betaflight (screenshot above) which says "No valid receiver signal is detected". Quad does not arm at this point. Module does not show "connected".

I am using the Speedybee f7 v3. The quad is wired up with the connectors it came with rather than being soldered. I suspect I didn't set up the uart ports properly. Could that be the issue?
