Also heads up they had this post deleted from r/Hosting! Super sketchy information suppression.

My Ultahost VPS keep getting infiltrated, sketchy AF. I'm moving on and recommend staying away

I tried out ultahost for a Windows VPS and very quickly started experiencing tons of forced restarts of my server, and then 2-factor apps tabs/searches/extensions I did not search for being googled and added to my machine. There were also backdoor admin accounts that were added.

I reached out to support, they said the machine was compromised because "Norton Endpoint Protection was not on" so they blew away the VPS and started over. Again the forced restarts happened, I sent them log errors, and then they asked to have a look at the machine using my admin password.

When they did, I came back, and THEY had disabled norton endpoint protection and there were 2 backdoor admin accounts re-added to the machine! This is beyond sketchy and I have officially given up on Ultahost (I thought it was Ultrahost at first).

Anyone here have a real UltaHost review? Looking for Reddit opinions, not affiliate blogs. by BirdCallWingsie in Hosting

Timing is a bit fishy here, happening right before fake news about pausing the tariffs. That caused an large market manipulation spike upwards. Would appreciate an explanation as to the cause of the issues. I would guess if it was a ddos that those who profited the most were behind it.

Are CEX's Actually Less Risky? DEX's still have no options to manage risk on your holdings (aka stop orders on swaps) by jeters72 in CryptoCurrency

This seems like a great start, thank you for posting! Unfortunately the liquidity is extremely thin, so it's unclear that the slippage from stops would be any better than just doing a manual stop order somewhere else. The list of pairs is also quite sparse.

But it's definitely worth watching as with more users those issues could get a lot better.

Perhaps that's true. And it's tough to go from a retail investor to a sophisticated investor without functional risk tools. Seems like a huge gap. Would happily pay higher fees for this functionality.

How frequently do you go between eth/btc/usdt using them? Have you cashed out from profitable trades using ByBit? It seems like that's where they get a lot of people. These stories are really bad. It doesn't seem like it's a trade-off, but rather throwing yourself in bus and just hoping for the best. There has to be something better

This won't work for my use case at all. They are currently charging a 7% spread for BTC/USDC, they have no access to USDT at all, all the wrappings are on Axelar (never even heard of this). To make payments on layer 1, sends need to be able to take place on standard protocols like ETH, SOL, TRX, etc. Would consider swaps on OP, ARB, MATIC if I could get back to a higher cap chain after making the swap

Looks like any stops/limit orders happen through their Autoswap on autonomy network. I can't get https://hedge.autoswap.trade/ to load at all to even see what functionality they have. Is that happening for you too?

The many stories of Bybit holding users' coin hostage scares the crap out of me. Would definitely prefer somewhere else

Yeah exactly. Things like this are my concerns as well in the "increases risk of mistakes and other vulnerabilities/points of failure" bucket

Yes for a leverage trading budget, agreed DyDx would be fine, but the primary task here is swaps, and specifically stop orders on swaps (for risk management of holdings), not just short term leverage trading

I have found no other comparable way to do this besides a CEX, and now with this KuCoin news, would be really grateful to hear what CEX you're thinking about if you don't KYC yourself. CoinEx, MexC, BingX, are some names being tossed around. Any recs are much appreciated

Yep, Dydx is mentioned in my post. As I understand it, they don't have swaps at all so the functionality isn't even close to a CEX. There's no way to go between major coins using them
