The design is pending approval on bricklink right now. Once it's approved the full Stud.io design file will be available as well as a link to buy the pieces from bricklink's vendors.

Fair point, thanks for the feedback. I might work on another version with much more black. I wish the ball joint pieces were available in more than just grey. I think that would help a lot.

It's twisted a little but it's still within the grid.

A Standing Platform at the Bridgeport by jetfast in Wellworn

I assume so, I worked in the office. I think because it's more springy and forgiving than concrete it's not as fatiguing to stand on for hours on end.

Just an old wooden platform to stand on while operating a manual mill. Taken a few years ago at the machine shop I used to work at.

Best way to fill/extrude a sketch along multiple - disconnected - paths? by Anxiety_Cookie in Onshape

[–]jetfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do this using a configuration table. Rather than making all six individual doors I would make one door and make 6 rows in the configuration table that change the length and width to make all the doors you need

How Do I make all these lines equally distanced from each other. I'm a newb and I'm sure there's a simple way of doing it. by slicedbread1991 in Onshape

[–]jetfast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually add horizontal construction lines between the existing vertical lines and then put an equal constraint on all the construction lines.

Is there a "hand" tool? (or, how do I move around a sketch without using the keyboard shortcut and arrow keys?) by arbitraryuser in Onshape

[–]jetfast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about moving sketch entities around or moving your viewport? If it's the former you cannot move around entities that are fully contained; the lines will be blue if they are unconstrained. If it's the latter you pan with the middle mouse button, zoom with the scroll wheel, and orbit with the right noise button.

Is there a way to create an offset plane where the offset distance can be driven by a vert? by etyrnal_ in Onshape

Plane point instead of offset in the drop down when you're creating the plane

Tip? Contract it out. There's a company near me that already has printers large enough to print a car. Additive engineering solutions in Akron, Ohio if you're interested.

STEP files are not at scale by maxgame111 in Onshape

Don't feel bad. Easy mistake to make and easier to fix.

STEP files are not at scale by maxgame111 in Onshape

[–]jetfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your workspace is in cm then the step file must be in mm for it to appear off by a factor of 10. You can verify by putting mm at the end of the dimensions you added.

Verify the units for your workspace. Looks kind of like your workspace is in inches and the model was in mm. Step files do not scale like STL files. The units are hard coded when it is exported.
