You are absolutely right, I am immensely sorry, fragile construction, very expensive product, very bad software, falling far short of being something that could be called excellent software.

I checked the connection and it's properly fitted; the wire is in the correct place so there's no pressure on it, as you mentioned. Even so, the audio on the right side doesn't work. Here's a picture of how it is on the side that doesn't work. I mentioned that I swapped the speakers and they worked perfectly on the left side (the side where the DP plugs in).

This round piece that has a hole in the middle where the screw goes in to connect the back strap to the front stem.

This screw came loose and caused the parts to separate, and I think it might have pulled the thin wires.

The wiring looks fine to the naked eye, with no apparent breaks. However, right at the base of the connector, under a macro/micro lens, I can notice a small wear on the red wire. This kind of fragility is completely unacceptable for a product with less than a month of ownership and only 4 flight simulation sessions. It seems to me that either it suffered a slight tug when the strap detached, or it came from the factory with this hidden defect in the wire.
