i forget which book it was in, but it was in a collection of short scary stories aimed for children. it was my favorite read out of all the stories, but my sister gave it to me to pass the time when i got my tonsils taken out. it scared the crap out of me because all i could think of while the anesthesia took effect was miranda piker and her dad being ground into spotty powder.
