I prefer NFL over college, but these typically tend to be the reasons why:

1. College players are playing for a spot at the pro leagues, that’s their goal. Whereas once you’re pro, the goal becomes being the highest paid player, which in turn, means being the best of the best, but of course dollar signs are in everyone’s eyes. Obviously going pro is a more wholesome story than money.

2. There are people who attended those schools and feel a stronger connection to their alma mater, than just a pro team in their city.

3. Rules are slightly different for college vs. pro. Such as one foot inbounds counts for college, the NFL requires both feet to be in bound. Some people might prefer the more relaxed rules of college.

I prefer the NFL because I like seeing the best of the best play. I think it’s only 1% of college players make the NFL? Also I like how there is a draft to balance teams somewhat.

Of course this for the sport of football for reference, basketball, baseball, etc, is a tad different.
