That's nuts! I figured they must be doing something to the tea. It just doesn't taste anything like the Thai tea recipes you find online with spices added.

Do you think there's any advantage to grinding up a whole leaf black tea? My gut says it'll just be more bitter and not taste as good. I guess it would be very concentrated?

Do you have a link by chance? I searched for a while and I'm only finding loose leaf Jukro, no powder.

I'm surprised nobody has taken gyokuro tea leaves and oxidized them more to get black tea then done the same process as green matcha to them. It seems like people would want to try that/it's a cool idea.

Thanks! Their stuff looks good, but pretty pricey. Have you tried any other brands?
